I Lost $143 to Prove a Point (and I’d Do It Again)
This looks like a loss on paper. In reality, it’s the moment everything became real.
My Million Story
Today, I want to share something small that matters a lot.
I spent $89 twice on newsletter software.
That’s $178 total.
This month, that same newsletter made $35.
If you stop there, it looks like a bad deal.
A loss.
A mistake.
But for me, it’s one of the most important wins I’ve had in a while.
Here’s why.
The Numbers (Plain and Honest)
Money out: $178
Money in: $35
No fancy math needed.
Yes, I’m technically down.
But that $35 did something far more valuable than “covering costs.”
It proved the concept.
Why This $35 Matters More Than $350
This isn’t my first time here.
When I started using PodMatch and recording interviews, I didn’t begin with certainty. I began with a question:
Can this actually make money for me?
The moment I earned my first dollar from podcast interviews, everything changed.
Not because it was a lot.
But because it was real.
That single proof flipped a switch in my brain:
“This works. Now double down.”
That same thing just happened again.
Beyond What the Internet Says
Online advice is loud.
People say:
“Newsletters don’t make money anymore.”
“You need a massive list.”
“Don’t expect earnings early.”
I listened.
Then I tested anyway.
I didn’t just follow what was recommended.
I ran my own experiment.
And the result?
Money showed up.
Not enough yet.
But enough to remove doubt.
The Only Question Left
Once a concept is proven, the strategy becomes simple.
Not easy.
Simple.
Do more of what’s already working.
That’s it.
Grow the brand.
Grow the newsletter.
Increase distribution.
Refine what converts.
The goal now isn’t “Can this work?”
The goal is “How far can this go?”
This Is the Real Lesson
If there’s one thing I want you to take from this, it’s this:
Don’t outsource belief.
It’s not enough to hear:
“This works.”
“This doesn’t work.”
If you feel something might work, prove it.
And once it’s proven—even in a small way—
double down without hesitation.
That’s how momentum is built.
This is My Million Story.
One proof at a time.

But what can you actually DO about the proclaimed ‘AI bubble’? Billionaires know an alternative…
Sure, if you held your stocks since the dotcom bubble, you would’ve been up—eventually. But three years after the dot-com bust the S&P 500 was still far down from its peak. So, how else can you invest when almost every market is tied to stocks?
Lo and behold, billionaires have an alternative way to diversify: allocate to a physical asset class that outpaced the S&P by 15% from 1995 to 2025, with almost no correlation to equities. It’s part of a massive global market, long leveraged by the ultra-wealthy (Bezos, Gates, Rockefellers etc).
